" A prolific lighting designer and scenographer, Cédric Delorme-Bouchard directs the play "Intérieur" by Maurice Maeterlinck. Using the imposing stage of Usine C, he uses shadows and light to present a tragic story with intensity and sincerity. "

Through a short piece where silences weigh as much as words, Maeterlinck, master of symbolism, depicts the most difficult of announcements: that of the death of a loved one. Cédric Delorme-Bouchard seizes this fable of the unspeakable by sublimating the fine articulation between the interior and the exterior, between the conscious and the unconscious, between the everyday and the invisible. Carried by a timeless choir and eight actors confined in the fateful moment, the work unfolds like a contemplative requiem on the fragility of the human experience. A ritual of words, voices and bodies, shattered into a thousand splinters by a sudden light.

"With over 200 dance, theatre and opera shows under his belt as a lighting designer and scenographer, Cédric Delorme-Bouchard knows how to master light, texture and stage space like few others. The play of shadows and contrasts gives a profound force to "Intérieur". The silences and light add a remarkable intensity that is the strength of the play."

Arnaud Bouchard-Perron, Le Lien Multimédia

“Interior is the result of a genuine phenomenological experience. The audience is not just a simple observer; to use Merleau-Ponty’s words, it sees itself from the outside, as another would see it, installed in the middle of the visible. The scene sets up a scopic superposition device by which the invisible household replaces the room, under the lamp, where “light is gentle to pain”. The play thus manages to materialize light, which envelops like a comforting blanket.” Aglaé Boivin, Spirale Magazine
