List Title
Inspired by the piano works of Olivier Messiaen, a leading figure in 20th-century contemporary music, Cédric Delorme-Bouchard orchestrates a ritual for body and light in an imposing circular arena. The main stage of Usine C is transformed into a circular arena where four grand pianos surround an imposing altar . At the heart of this arrangement, eight dancers celebrate through movement, Messiaen's sacred cadences, summoning through movement and gesture, a kaleidoscope of human landscapes. For this creation, Messiaen's most emblematic piano duets have been rearranged by conductor Hubert Tanguay-Labrosse in a new version for four pianists.
This project is the second part of a creative cycle on sacred music started by Cédric Delorme-Bouchard with Le Vaisseau-cœur in 2019.
